Apart from giving us warmth and happy thoughts, the sun can also cause brown spots, drying and wrinkling, as well as, in some cases, skin cancer. The good news is that we can protect ourselves by covering up and using sunscreens (choose one with minimum SPF20-30 and preferably waterproof).
Take care on cool, cloudy days too, as damaging UVA and UVB rays can penetrate the cloud cover. Take precautions and put on your sunscreen 2-=30 minutes before going out.
Don't let the snow fool you either. During the winter months, high altitudes, strong winds and white snow can cause severe sunburn.
