Moisturisers are used to increase the skin's hydration (water content) by reducing evaporation. Moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin as well as improve skin tone and texture. There are different moisturisers available depending on your skin type, but in the end, it all comes down to deciding whether you need a water-based or an oil-based moisturiser.
